A coordination meeting was held in Taiz, bringing together Mr. Abdullah Al-Alimi, Director General of the Office of Culture; Mr. Maher Al-Absi, Director General of the Office of Siege Affairs; and a representative of SAM Organization for Rights and Liberties, in the presence of Mr. Abdulhamid Salem Al-Eraiqi, Deputy Director of the Office of Culture, and artist Hisham Al-Naaman, Advisor for Artistic Affairs.
The meeting discussed a series of procedures and responsibilities related to preparations for the upcoming art exhibition under the “Memory Museum” project, which aims to document the suffering of civilians during the siege of Taiz. The exhibition will feature the participation of photographers, visual artists, and students, as well as competitions for the best paintings, photographs, drawings, and sculptures. It will also include storytelling sessions sharing citizens’ experiences, documentary film screenings, and various cultural activities.
The meeting concluded with the development of a joint coordination plan and shared responsibilities among participating entities to ensure the success of this national cultural event, emphasizing the vital role of institutions, initiatives, and cultural, artistic, and literary forums in engaging and contributing to the exhibition’s success.
