    Taiz – July 13, 2025

A specialized training workshop on documenting success stories and lessons learned from reconciliation initiatives concluded today in Taiz, as part of the Yemen Peace Support Project (SPARK).

Organized by SAM Organization for Rights and Liberties and the Abductees’ Mothers Association, in cooperation with DT Training Institute, the training targeted the Community Reconciliation and Consensus Committee and its working team. The activity aimed to promote a culture of community reconciliation and support pathways for local peacebuilding.

The training focused on strengthening participants’ professional documentation skills and enhancing their ability to craft impactful success stories from field-based reconciliation initiatives. It also provided a platform to highlight key reconciliation and awareness-raising activities taking place in conflict-affected areas.

The program featured intensive sessions on professional techniques for success story writing, identifying key lessons learned from practical experiences, and applying those insights to improve future performance and achieve lasting positive impact.

Participants also discussed the challenges facing community initiatives and proposed practical solutions to mitigate risks and ensure the sustainability of reconciliation and awareness efforts.

This training is part of a broader series of capacity-building activities under the SPARK project, aimed at empowering local actors with the knowledge and tools needed to foster peaceful coexistence and strengthen social cohesion in Yemen.
