On the occasion of World Humanitarian Day, an event was held on August 19 in Salah District, Taiz Governorate, to honor the Community Reconciliation and Mediation Committee. The ceremony was organized by the Office of Social Affairs and Labor and the For All Foundation for Development, with support from the King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center and implementation by UN Women. The event was attended by the District Director, Engineer Aref Al-Yousfi.

The recognition comes as an acknowledgment of the remarkable efforts made by the Community Reconciliation and Mediation Committee in resolving local disputes and promoting social peace within Taiz, which has positively contributed to community stability and social cohesion.

It is worth noting that the Community Reconciliation and Mediation Committee is one of the subcommittees established under a key activity of the “SPARK” project, implemented by SAM Organization for Rights and Liberties in partnership with the Abductees’ Mothers Association, and supported and funded by the DT Institute, as part of ongoing efforts to promote transitional justice and expand community reconciliation initiatives in Yemen.
